Assumption Grotto in Detroit is the burial site of seven babies killed by abortionist Reginald Sharpe in March and April of 2008. Their bodies were retrieved from the trash dumpster behind the Sharpe's abortion facility, Women's Advisory in Livonia, MI.
The recovery of the bodies from the dumpster was overseen by Dr. Monica Miller of Day of Remembrance sponsoring organization Citizens for a Pro-Life Society. On June 27, the funeral and burial were conducted by Bishop John Quinn of the Diocese of Winona, Minnesota, Fr. Frank Pavone of Day of Remembrance sponsor Priests for Life and a host of other pro-life clergy.
EWTN provided television coverage of the burial and many other media outlets covered the story. More images of the burial can be found here.
