In 1986, the bodies of 18 aborted babies were found in a dumpster behind a mall in Montgomery, Alabama, and buried at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Alabama Citizens for Life's Montgomery Chapter Chairman Ed Clark and Montgomery Deanery Respect life Committee's Mary Stojack were instrumental in obtaining this burial. They have organized an ecumenical prayer service at the gravesite every year since on January 22, with local Catholic and Protestant clergy participating and proclamations from pro-life public servants.
